Terms of Use

Welcome to SynthGen AI. By using the SynthGen AI mobile app and its share extension (together, the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The Service

The App makes a new video from a video you choose and a photo you provide, using AI models run by third parties. Results vary: a video may not look exactly like you or exactly follow the original, and some videos may fail.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires it, to use the App. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Account

You may sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. You may not share your account or create multiple accounts to get around limits.

4. Your Photos and Videos

  • You must own, or have permission to use, every photo and video you use in the App.
  • Only use photos of yourself, or of adults who have clearly agreed to it. Do not use photos of anyone under 18 unless you are their parent or legal guardian.
  • Videos you choose from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or elsewhere may be protected by copyright and by those platforms' terms. You are responsible for having the right to use them.
  • You give us a limited permission to store and process your photos and videos, and to send them to our service providers, only to provide the App to you.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

  • Make sexual or sexually suggestive content, or any content involving minors in a sexual way
  • Put someone's face into a video without their consent, impersonate anyone, or present a made-up video of a real person as real
  • Harass, bully, threaten or embarrass anyone
  • Make hateful, violent, illegal, fraudulent or misleading content, including political deception
  • Get around usage limits, credits or security measures, or use bots or automated tools with the App
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code of the App

Our AI providers use safety filters that may block some requests. We may refuse or remove content that breaks these Terms.

6. Generated Videos

  • Videos made in the App are created by AI. You are responsible for how you use and share them.
  • When you post a video, follow the rules of the platform you post on, including its rules for labeling AI-generated content.
  • A generated video can include music, scenes or other material from the original video that belongs to someone else. Sharing it may require their permission.
  • We do not claim ownership of the videos you make.

7. Credits and Purchases

  • Making a video uses credits, based on the length of the video. The price is shown before you start.
  • If a video fails, the credits it used are returned automatically.
  • Credits come with a subscription or as one-time purchases. Credits you have not used stay in your balance while your account exists.
  • Credits cannot be transferred, have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
  • We may change how many credits a video costs. The new price applies only to videos you start after the change.
  • All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Refunds are handled by Apple under its refund policy.

8. Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
  • Monthly and yearly plans both add a set number of credits every month while the subscription is active.

9. Other Platforms

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or their owners. Their names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe where a video comes from.

10. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, features and underlying technology belong to SynthGen AI. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.

11. Reporting Content

If you believe the App was used to make a video of you without your consent, or a video that infringes your rights, contact us at the address below and we will look into it.

12. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that generated videos will meet your expectations. The AI models are provided by third parties and may change or become unavailable.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SynthGen AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the App or of videos made with it.

14. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time in the App (Profile, then Delete account). This permanently removes your account, photos, videos, credits and history. It cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in your Apple ID settings.

15. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the App if you break these Terms, or if we stop offering the App.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
