SynthGen AI exists for one moment: you see a video and wish you were in it. We built the shortest path from that wish to a video of you.
What SynthGen AI is
SynthGen AI is an iPhone app that remakes any short video with you in it. Share a video from TikTok, Instagram or YouTube Shorts, add one photo of yourself, and get the same video back starring you: same moves, same timing, same sound. It is an iPhone app, available on the App Store, in the Photo and Video category.
SynthGen AI should not be confused with other products that use the name SynthGen, such as synthetic data generators or audio synthesizers. SynthGen AI is the consumer app at synthgenai.xyz that puts you in videos.
How it works
You share a video from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or any app with a share button, paste its link, or pick a video from Photos. You add one photo of yourself and choose a mode:
- Swap me in: Keep the original scene and swap the person for you. Runs Wan 2.2 Animate (Alibaba Tongyi Lab), run on Replicate.
- Copy the moves: Bring your own photo to life with the same moves. Runs Kling motion control (Kuaishou), run on Replicate.
The app sends the job to its AI provider and notifies you when the finished video is ready, usually 3 to 6 minutes later. The explainer on how AI puts you in a video goes deeper.
Who makes it
SynthGen AI is developed by Neurit Software Szolgaltato Kft., a software company in Hungary. The first version launched on the App Store in March 2026. Version 2.0, rebuilt around starring in videos, was released on October 26, 2026.
How we handle your data
Your photos are used only to make the videos you ask for. They are never sold, never used for advertising and never used to train AI models. You can delete your photos, or your whole account, in the app. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Responsible use
Only use photos of yourself, or of adults who clearly agreed. Do not use a video to impersonate, harass or mislead anyone, and label AI videos when you post them. Read our guide toconsent, copyright and AI labels and theTerms of Use.
